What a magical tree. So eerie! Love the way the roots look like a huge dragon. She has an eye, a mouth and even claws. Anything could be in that hole! Dragons eggs?And why has it got a Red Cross?
A wave of fear has engulfed the middle years of life.
Almost a tsunami! Sensible people worrying, fretting, feeling anxious about ageing, yet actually heading for the best stage of their lives!
How did that happen?
Stranded! Beached whale feeling. But that rapidly turned to chuckles.
“I have to ask for help to get up from a chair in the office of an organisation that espouses Age Friendly places!”
Lovely….However what was really interesting was that it had never occurred to them.
They sound like horror stories. But reading them gives you a shiver of relief. Realise just how lucky this generation of older people are. Phew!
Her sad comment was “I am too old. I am wrinkled”
Isnt that wicked? A happy attractive smiling woman with twinkling eyes and a clearly loving partner is ashamed of her age? What have we as a society done?
Definitely time to change! #AgeProud is an absolutely necessary campaign.
